swimsuits & try-on

The Swim like a Dolphin and Pups teams are not required to purchase Seawolves team suits but are welcome to if they would like. Seawolves bathing suits are required for athletes who are registered for the U12, U14 or U18 teams and are not included in registration fees.

We will hold a swimsuit try-on for anyone who requires a new suit this year. This event is scheduled for Friday, September 6, 2024 from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Silver Springs Community Center which is located at 5720 Silver Ridge Dr NW, Calgary.

Please contact our Apparel Manager directly if you miss the try-on and would like to purchase a suit.

The Cost of swimsuits is not included in your registration fees. The boys suits will cost $50 and the girls suits cost $70.  Suits will be available for athletes to try on at this session but suits will be distributed in the month following the swimsuit try-on. Swimsuits can be paid for using e-transfers at the swimsuit try-on.  We will also send out reminders for this event in the coming weeks.

Please note the following schedule for the try-on:

Respect in Sport

Alberta Water Polo now requires that one parent or guardian take the Respect in Sport Parent Program (please note this is different from the Respect In Sport for Activity Leaders Program).

To certify, follow this link https://waterpolo-canada-parent.respectgroupinc.com/. There is a fee of $12 to take the course, however, the certification will be valid for 5 years.

You can quickly and easily look up whether you have taken this training and/or the certification date using your name and email address at this website: https://validation.respectgroupinc.com/.

This season, in order for your child to join practices this training must be complete and a valid number must be input in the registration platform, Ramp. You will be asked to input this number during the registration process if it is not already on-file so please have the number ready.

volunteer positions

The Seawolves relies heavily on the dedication of volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of our club. We are always looking for volunteers for various roles, including board members, team managers, team chaperones, minor officials, and etc. Your involvement is crucial for the success of our club and events. Please keep an eye out for opportunities to contribute and support our team.

Tournaments rely on family volunteers for roles like Shot Clock Operator, Game Secretary, and Penalty Secretary. For more information regarding minor officiating, please visit: Alberta Water Polo Minor Official Training

Please visit our Volunteer Guidelines on our By-Laws and Policies page.

casinos

In the past we have required casino cheques, but since we have recently had a casino event it is not anticipated that we will be allocated another casino date within this season (2024-25), and therefore, casino cheques will not be required this season.

Volunteer cheques must be received either at the time of the swimsuit try on September 6th, or at the first week of practices.

fundraising

Currently, there are no fundraising requirements or activities planned for the 2024-25 season.
